FIREMAT – FIRE resistant MATerials & composites project’s activities started on Monday 15 April. The project’s focus is on composite materials, in particular for weight reduction and fire resistance. Composite materials are known to be the most promising in terms of specific strength, but they have important limits in terms of recyclability and resistance to temperatures. The goal of the project is to fulfil composite materials fire-resistant and recyclable.

The project will last 2 years, for a total cost of € 1,121,428.21 and obtained a € 800,000 regional funding (POR-FESR 2014-2020).
